"The Lord has appointed me to bring the good news.” (Isaiah 61:1 ) The Isaiah Project is designed to show the love of Jesus Christ by helping those in need locally through a variety of activities:
- Provide monthly meals to residents of two local motels usually served the 2nd Sunday each month prepared and delivered after worship (about 11:30 AM)
- Provide diapers/wipes, female sanitary supplies, toiletries and books to the residents when we deliver the meals.
- As these items are distributed we receive prayer requests from the recipients which are then added to our weekly prayer chain
- Provide Thanksgiving Baskets to Homefront a non-profit organization in Trenton, NJ that works to break the cycle of poverty and end homelessness
- In partnership with seven other local churches.... we participate in providing grocery bags to the residents on a monthly basis.
- Give Christmas Gift Bags and Easter Baskets to the children at the motels every year

TEAM BUILDING EVENTS
Take advantage of this great opportunity for your organization to participate in a Team Building Event while making a difference in our community. Once a month we prepare and deliver a healthy meal to about 80 people who find themselves temporarily homeless. There are other ways to help too such as donations / collection of personal hygiene items, sponsoring a Thanksgiving Basket, Christmas Bag or Easter Basket. Contact Rhonda for more information and to schedule your Team Building Event for 2009.
We will walk you through the process of:
* choosing the meal (we have ideas / suggesions if you like)
* shopping for items / getting donations (member of HCLC help out too)
* preparing and assembling the meal at the church (beginning at 11:30am)
* delivering the meals to the residents a the motels (ending about 2:00pm)
