Vacation Bible School (VBS) is the largest outreach effort sponsored by HCLC each year.  In addition to the week long summer VBS, we also hold three mini-VBS' during the school year free of charge.  All of these events are designed to introduce children to the love of Christ through fun-filled activities.

Summer VBS Program

Usually held in August, each year we reach about 350 children in our summer VBS program.  There are two sessions; the morning session is for children in preschool (ages 3 and potty trained) through Kindergarten and the evening session is for children in Kindergarten through 6th grade.

There is a different theme associated with VBS every year to make it fun and exciting.  Each day, kids will participate in small groups and explore different Bible stories.  Crafts, team-building games, songs and tasty treats are just a few of the activities that help faith flow into real life during VBS.

Mini-VBS Programs

We hold three additional themed mini-VBS programs throughout the school year:

• December - "Birthday Party for Jesus"
• February - "It's All About Love"
• March/April - "Family Easter Celebration"

Each of these mini programs are held on a Saturday afternoon and just like our summer VBS, the afternoon is filled with crafts, songs, games and snacks to make it a fun filled learning experience about God.
